The next chapter · Version 2.0

Your clubs.
Today’s conditions.
A little less guesswork.

That familiar 7 iron can fly a little differently in the mountains. GolfBrain brings your normal carry distances together with altitude, weather, and wind to help you choose a club.

A simpler, free update is on the way.

Shown here: the upcoming 2.0 update for iPhone and Apple Watch. It has not been released on the App Store yet.

Less setup. More playing.

Back to the
good stuff.

GolfBrain 2.0 is becoming a free, simpler app. Open your bag, check the conditions, and get on with your round.

Free and provided as is. Personalized support and future updates are not promised.

01

No account. No subscription.

Your bag stays on your device and syncs with your paired Apple Watch. No cloud club storage or account-based transfers.

02

The weather comes along.

Temperature, humidity, and wind come from OpenWeather for your location. No external sensors to connect.

03

Just the things you use.

Play, My Bag, Weather, and Settings. Drive measurement and the Learning Center are making their exit.

A look around

Familiar clubs.
A fresh view.

Carry estimates on your phone.
A compact view on your wrist.

GolfBrain Apple Watch preview: each club, stock distance, adjusted distance, and drift fit on one line

A quick glance

Leave the phone
in your pocket.

The paired Apple Watch app keeps club, stock distance, adjusted distance, and drift on a single line. More clubs in view, less scrolling between shots.

Getting started with GolfBrain

Watch preview from the simulator; adjusted distances appear when the required readings are available.

Sun & Moon

Apple Watch today · iPhone companion upcoming

Plan around
natural light.

Built for photographers, hikers, hunters, and anyone whose plans involve natural light. Check sunrise, sunset, twilight, moonrise, moonset, and the moon’s phase on your Apple Watch.

Coming in version 1.1: an iPhone companion with the same sun and moon information, a Deep Twilight display on both devices, and latitude and longitude below the readings. The Watch app will continue to work independently.

Behind the apps

A few ideas.
Something useful.

Alpenlogic is a home for software built out of curiosity. A few useful ideas, turned into apps and shared with people who might enjoy them.

GolfBrain’s next chapter is in that spirit: make it free, keep the useful parts, and see where it goes.
